Up to the Mark?
wow i would feature ur lavendar story in my film one day if i ever direct one, or in a poem or a book, or a song,. but i guess its good enough to be blogged and recorded. and read.aiyo cindy. cindy the play, was bad. i must be honest becos its really bad. i was very irked leh. very very very very much. so please let me complain without offence.
alot of things were substandard.
Tiketing
if a play stretches pass the 3rd hour, it shld be written so on the ticket. intermission rows of people went away and never came back. Doors shld close at most i think reasonably 15 mins after the stated admission time? it was written 7.30, think it started 8.15. plus streams of people entering with accompanying streams of light from outside in the middle of everything.
Script
tho i cant deny there were witty lines. especially delighted upon hearing your line. every thing the lawyer said was incorrect. shld ve consulted sth, a play or a show or someone with legal knowledge
Language
hmmm, i heard pple say they were watching pck on stage, with worse english. singlish yes, the lahs and the lohs ought to be in for good flavor, but it is a proper play. use proper language. im espe cially irritated by this. argh. dorector, watch local theatre please. singlish can be proper english. i love singlish, but i hated the play.
Musical?
but i think it would be good as a stage play, not a musical.those are not songs, they are horror to the ears. songs were bad, singing was bad, live music unimpressive.
Makeup
Makeup was haha. funny really. when the old lady shook her head, powder everywhere. i thot this lightened everyone up.
glad tt i went to watch you, not the play. didnt even know its title before. in this case, my money X3wasnt really thrown away. becos u did well and in every sense lit up OUR show. next year wanna join, make sure first on- and back-stage crew are committed and powerful, and with so many talented people from ur hall, it'd be enjoyable. pity that the talents are not put together properly. sack the musicians la. and the scriptwriters/editor, or make the actors take pride in their lines and learn basic english tenses and prononciations. very rigorous,must go thru real vocals and speech and drama warm ups. essential. come on, be the director / producer next year. make it good, choose the correct people, and employ ONLY those.
oh well, why so critical. i hope uve gained ur due enjoyment for whatever effort uve put in/ whatever difficulties endured. experience and fulfillment is paramount. den everyone appreciates the finer things in life. My pdtn was a success but was i not grouchy in it? need committment i guess. i believed u were happier in urs den i was in mine.but good job really, everybody. xinyi's hair was the prettiest of all, and haha im sorry her dance partner couldnt really keep up with her, or the music. she basically did her job, well. haha money well spent in other ways anyhows.
yike u shdnt keep Felicia in the darkness of a drawer. use it anyhows. make it be seen. however useless. i think a winter/autumm balcony accessory is a good idea. dont have it hung, meant to give u warmth.
